Cardinia Shire Partnerships

Cardinia Shire partners with Bridgewood Primary School and the Department of Education to offer key early childhood services, including three- and four-year-old kindergarten. Enrolling in a quality kindergarten program supports children’s early learning and development, complementing home-based activities to build the skills and confidence needed for a positive start to school. Enrollments are managed through the Cardinia Council Kindergarten website.

Additional services provided include Maternal and Child Health nurse visits and programs for first-time mothers and families. At Maternal and Child Health appointments, nurses assess your child’s health, growth, and development while providing guidance and support on parenting. More details on these services are available on the Cardinia Council Maternal and Child Health website.

Bridgewood Community Playgroups

Our on-site playgroup at Bridgewood offers a nurturing environment for children aged birth – four years old to learn, grow, and play. Through age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity, creativity, and social skills, children enjoy a gentle introduction to early learning. Supported by caring educators and engaging resources, our playgroup promotes each child’s cognitive, emotional, and physical development in a safe and welcoming setting.

Bridgewood Playgroup also strengthens community connections, providing parents and caregivers with a supportive space to connect and share experiences. Playgroups are a wonderful way for families to form friendships, build support networks, and access valuable resources within the community. They create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all families, fostering a sense of belonging that enriches both children and adults.

Join us at Bridgewood Playgroup, where your little ones can take their first steps in learning, and you can enjoy a friendly community atmosphere. More information can be found on the Playgroup Victoria website or by contacting Bridgewood’s reception.

Cafe

Our onsite school cafe operates five days a week, providing students with a variety of food options for recess and lunch. Our menu is carefully crafted to meet Department of Education guidelines, offering balanced, nutritious meals that keep students energised throughout the day.

Bridgewood Fundraiser Group (BFG)

At Bridgewood, we value the essential role of the Bridgewood Fundraising Group (BFG) in supporting our school community. The BFG organises events and initiatives that raise funds for important programs while fostering a sense of community among parents, students, and staff.
We encourage parents to get involved by assisting with event organisation, participating in fundraising activities, or sharing ideas. This is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other parents and make a positive impact on our school.
If you’re interested in learning more about how to participate or have questions about upcoming events, please contact the school directly. Your involvement is greatly appreciated as we work together to enrich the educational experience for all students at Bridgewood.

Breakfast Club

At Bridgewood, we are pleased to offer a Breakfast Club that runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. This program provides a warm and welcoming environment for students to enjoy a nutritious breakfast before starting their school day. The Breakfast Club is a great way for students to socialise and connect with their peers in a relaxed setting.

If you would like to learn more about the Breakfast Club or its activities, please feel free to contact the school directly for more information.
